Much of chapter eight deals with the issue of violence and when it is proper to use it. But it is not only a question of when but also why. Violence born out of hatred is not the same as violence used to defend oneself and the ones we love.
”Deshi, never let hate and evil into your heart but never feel guilt for fighting those who have these as their masters. Violence is rarely good but sometimes it is the only way to defend the lives of the innocent. And let’s not forget our own lives. For not only would you be of no use to the world dead, but your life is a valuable as any. A great gift from Our Heavenly Parent it is and an act of love was your creation.”
