A couple days ago, I celebrated six years since the beginning of my physical transition. A lot of things have changed since 2016. Not only in terms of how my body has ever increasingly felt more like my own, but also in how the world is treating trans people. Cis society has long looked downFortsätt läsa ”Celebrating 6 years on testosterone”

Grandma’s Dijon mustard and tomato pie
So, I just finished the second chapter of the second book of the crime series I’m working on. Since I think it’s important to celebrate the small victories, I made one of my favourite dishes: my grandmother’s Dijon mustard and tomato pie. Here’s the recipe: First, pre-bake a pie crust for 10 minutes at 200Fortsätt läsa ”Grandma’s Dijon mustard and tomato pie”
It is done!
Yesterday, I wrote the last words to the novel I’ve been writing. Finishing the last chapter took a bit more time than I expected but it also ended up being longer than I originally planned. I’ve got some editing and additional proofreading to do before it is ready to be sent to publishers and literaryFortsätt läsa ”It is done!”

17th January 2022: The Day of the Betty White challenge
Today is the day legendary actress and TV-personality Betty White would have turned 100 years old. Sadly, she passed away on New Year’s Eve 2021, at the age of 99 and still too soon. White’s television career spanned over eight decades and she was a pioneer in many ways. Among other, she was the firstFortsätt läsa ”17th January 2022: The Day of the Betty White challenge”

Inspiration…

Back then, I was a very different person and the thing that changed me happened while I was writing the book. The message IFortsätt läsa ”Inspiration…”
A rainy Pride
Today was the first Pride parade in my city since the pandemic. Being fully vaccinated, I thought about joining but the group I had planned to go with were not present this year so I decided to watch from the sidewalk instead. It was a shorter parade compared to most other years. A lot ofFortsätt läsa ”A rainy Pride”
A little bit of writing
I didn’t do much writing today but it was enough to finish chapter 13. I had some ice cream to celebrate: My goal is to finish chapter 14 before the end of the month. I might have a minor surgery sometimes soon so I’m setting the bar low since I don’t know how I’ll beFortsätt läsa ”A little bit of writing”
Happy Midsummer!
Here in Sweden, it is Midsummer week-end. Unfortunately, because of Covid, there won’t be any large gatherings like we traditionally have. But that’s no reason not to celebrate and give appreciation for all the season gives. Today we celebrated with a bit of strawberry cake. I was going to bake one myself but then IFortsätt läsa ”Happy Midsummer!”
