Today I went with members of my family to pick chanterelles in the forest. We only found a few but what we did find plenty of was animal bones. The area is one heavily frequented by hunters, so this wasn’t much of a surprise. It’s been way too long since I was in nature. ProbablyFortsätt läsa ”Bugs and bones”
By the sea
Today I went and sat by the sea to write for a bit. Then I took a walk on the beach in search of things to put on that altar I’m still working on. I ended up tumbling upon some interesting things.

Finding another ancestral grave
For the coming couple days I’m staying at my parents’ house and watching their pets while they’re away. Since I’m here I thought I’d take the opportunity to walk through the local forest like I used to when I was younger. I wandered for a while and felt a little lost. Happy Freya’s Day!
Here it is again: my favourite day of the week. Named after my patron Deity, it is also the start of the week-end with all the optimism it carries. I’m looking forward to finally have some free time. It’s hard to get much writing done when you work full time and have to commute 2Fortsätt läsa ”Happy Freya’s Day!”
I finished another chapter of my novella today and had a saffron semla to reward myself. A day well spent.
