Content warning: death, suicide, transphobia This is the text I was trying to write for Transgender Day of Rememberance, but I couldn’t find the words then. Trans Day of Rememberance 2022
**Content warning: mentions of suicide, murder, transphobia** Today is Trans Day of Rememberance. I thougth I’d write something, maybe a poem to honour the trans people who have lost their lives to murder or suicide. But I could find no words. When I go through the list of those whom the world has lost (thatFortsätt läsa ”Trans Day of Rememberance 2022”
The need for trans separatistic spiritual spaces
TW: transphobia, transmisogyny, castration I’ve been thinking a lot about the galli lately. Partly because I’ve read this book about the Mother Goddess Cybele and partly because I’ve had a few run-ins with transphobes in Pagan spaces. AllFortsätt läsa ”TERF author admits she does not care about trans people’s well-being”
A retrospective and some advice for newly out and younger trans people
//Content warning: transphobia, depression, suicidal ideation// When I look back at my life, I have one major regret: that I didn’t transition earlier. I learned what trans meant at 15, back in 2005. I didn’t come out before 2014 and, because my country’s trans health care is slow as all hell, I didn’t start myFortsätt läsa ”A retrospective and some advice for newly out and younger trans people”
The unhelpful common trans narrative – and why it’s hindering further acceptance
I’d like to start this post with a thought experiment. If you are right-handed (or the opposite if you are left-handed), imagine that you lived in a world where less than 1% of the world was. Your whole life you were scolded every time you used the hand that felt natural to you. People toldFortsätt läsa ”The unhelpful common trans narrative – and why it’s hindering further acceptance”
